Belgium recently hosted the Student Riding Nations Cup 2023, a competition that saw several young and talented riders representing their countries. Among the riders who represented Belgium were Marilie Fonteyn, Silke De Decker, and Merel Verstuyft. Robin Moors joined the Golden Oldies team, while Linde Van Boxstael competed in the International team.
The event was a weekend full of excitement and fun, with plenty of parties and a great atmosphere during the day. Many stunning rounds were ridden, and the riders showed their incredible skills and techniques.
In the individual ranking, Belgian rider Robin Moors was 5th, while Merel Verstuyft was 12th in the combined classification. Marilie Fonteyn ranked 22nd, Linde Van Boxstael came in at 32nd place, and Silke De Decker ended up at 33rd. For the individual dressage ranking, Robin Moors was 7th, with Silke De Decker and Linde Van Boxstael sharing 22nd place. Marilie Fonteyn ranked 26th, and Merel Verstuyft came in at 29th place.
For the individual showjumping ranking, Merel Verstuyft came very close to the top 3 and landed at 4th place. Robin Moors ranked 9th, Marilie Fonteyn was 16th, Linde Van Boxstael was at 34th place, and Silke De Decker finished in 38th place.
In the Team Ranking Combined, the Golden Oldies team secured a well-deserved 2nd place, while the Belgian team came in at 9th.
